Description / Comments:
This manual is based on the work of the YouthPower Project
of El Arco Iris Youth and Community Arts Center in Holyoke
Massachusetts. The manual is written for use by young people
aged 10-19, and by the adults who work with them. It
contains ideas that will help change neighborhoods for the
better. The manual provides a basic framework and steps to
follow based on what they found to work. The manual is
available from the University of Massachusetts Extension at
http://www.umassextension.org for $20.00. To order the
publication, go to the U Mass extension website and click on
Extension Bookstore, Main Page in the right hand column.
Then click on the category, 4-H Youth and Family
Development. A list of resources will come
up. The Youth Power Guide is about half-way down the list.
