This pamphlet, part of an excellent service learning series
available through the National Dropout Prevention Center, is
a resource to help teachers better facilitate reflection
within the context of service learning. Beginning with a
brief theoretical overview of reflection, the pamphlet then
addresses the process of reflection, activities that promote
reflection--through both interaction and introspection,
reflective practice in service learning, and reflective
facilitation. Also included are a self-assessment and
suggestions to help the teacher improve his or her own
